Art is at the rendezvous no. 31 - The summer selection | Lipchitz
Art is not on vacation!
Throughout the summer, Galerie AB presents a selection of works available on our e-shop to expand your collection.
This week, discover the works of Jacques Lipchitz.
Jacques Lipchitz (1891-1973), occupies an eminent place in the history of cubism. A renowned sculptor, he is distinguished by his mastery of modern techniques in his three-dimensional works.
Two years after his first solo exhibition, in 1922, he was commissioned to create bas reliefs for the prestigious Barnes Foundation (Pennsylvania, United States).
This opportunity opens the doors to international sponsorship and consolidates his reputation.
These preparatory drawings for the Barnes Foundation bas reliefs are included in the artist's Catalogue Raisoné.
