EXHIBIT "FEMMES ARTISTES" AT GALERIE AB IN ASSOCIATION WITH QAD

On the occasion of the “Femmes artistes” event at Quartier Art Drouot, Galerie AB - Agnès Aittouares invites you to discover a selection of works by women artists from 1913 to the present day, whose work and renown are now in the spotlight.

In a macho society, they have been eclipsed by the influence of a mentor, a father, a husband or even a son. By the very nature of their gender, they were unable to achieve the recognition they had hoped for, even though their talent and creativity left their mark on twentieth-century art history.

Four generations of women artists will be presented.

Suzanne Valadon, Nina Alexandrowicz, Marie Vassiliev, Chana Orloff, Sonia Delaunay, Marie Laurencin, Olga Sacharoff, Léonor Fini, Helena Vieira da Silva, Vera Molnár, Sophie Destre and Anne Ferrer are all visionary women whose contribution to the history of modern and contemporary art paves the way for future generations.
