From Charles Jacque to Antonio Saura — Works on paper
The exhibition brings together a set of works on paper, oils, drawings, watercolors, from the 19th century to the present day. From a pensive young peasant by Charles Jacque; drawing with black stone and blur, the path leads to the refined modernism of Victor Brauner through a 1961 Figura drawn with pen, to the poetry of Alexandre Calder with Kite and Butterfly, a gouache from 1965, a gouache from 1965, then to the force sculpture of the couple traced by Ossip Zadkine — a Chinese ink in a brush -, to end with Goya's Dog, a tribute by Antonio Saura to the Catalan master. Other big names complete this artistic walk: Bonnard, Buffet, Buffet, Delaunay, Derain, Fontana, Foujita...
