The three days of Drouot

On October 4, 5 and 6, antique dealers in the Hotel Drouot district organize open days. Each one will be exhibiting a key object.

Every year, in autumn, bargain hunters have the opportunity to discover, around the Hotel Drouot, an entire district devoted to antiques, from knick-knacks to master paintings. French and foreign professionals have been coming here for a long time. A particularity, most galleries and shops present objects “in their own juice”, according to the old expression: pieces in used condition, bought and resold as they are. This is one of the charms of these walks, another being the reasonable price policy practiced by some merchants.
